- Unacceptable specimens:
- Missing requisition form;specimens must be accompanied with the requisition form (enclosed in the mailable kit).
- No payment; payment must be enclosed with the specimens unless we have an account contract signed by the referring practitioner which authorizes us to bill them for payment. We accept checks or Visa/Mastercard.
- Inadequete samples; samples that lack sufficient fecal material can not be diagnosed. Repeat sample is recommended; free of charge.
- Reporting of test results:
- Test results will be faxed to the referring practitioner 2 to 5 working days from receipt of specimen.
- Results can be given to the patient only with written authorization from their practitioner.
- Treatment recommendations:
- Recommendations for herbal or allopathic treatment will be shared with referring practitioners upon request.
- Treatment recommendations will not be given out to patients directly.
- Courtesy testing:
- Referring practitioners are given complimentary testing (begining at no less than 3 referrals).
- Call PCI for additional information.
- Insurance claims:
- PCI does not bill insurance companies directly.
- Patients may request an invoice which can be submitted to their insurance company for reimbursement.
- PCI is not a medicare provider.
