The Requisition Form enclosed in the package, when properly filled, will substitute for a doctor's prescription allowing you to be tested. The two STF preservative (fixative, and transport) vials should be used to sample fecal specimens on two separate days, 2-3 days apart. Please follow enclosed Directions. Your package will include: 2 sheets of stool sampling paper, 2 STF vials, 2 bottles of Fleet laxative (when requested), Directions for collecting 2 stool specimens and for Payment, one Requisition Form, and one return address label.

The STF preservative is one of the best in the market. It is approved by FDA and CDC and is environmentally friendly, as it does not include mercury, formalin or alcohols thus also eliminating the risk of fire during transport. Our STF system is more efficient than the standard formalin-ethyl acetate and other O tests routinely performed in other labs; see Nace et al. 1999. Mailable packages are available for shipment to any part of the world. Domestically, we normally ship UPS 3 or 5-day ground. Packages are billed separately for individual clients by the PCI Package Shop. The PCI laboratory charge is $145.00 for one comprehensive stool analysis based on two stool specimens collected, and $105.00 for each of blood, biopsy, skin, worm (whole or part) or related biological specimens identified. Please collect, preserve and package the specimens properly, fill out the Requisition Form completely and enclose a check (or your credit card number) for the proper amount with the specimens. If your doctor has a contract agreement with PCI then you may pay your doctor for our charges directly. Please use the mailing label enclosed in the shipping container to send your specimens back to PCI in the same container.
